Actually it is the same meaning in Economics.
When we are choosing our career, we would have to consider: not only our interest, but "Most people's(here means those who pay for what you've done.) interest.".
For example, if you are a superior in playing electric guitar in America, that might be your career. But in Taiwan, most people think it as a kind of amusement, not a "former thing".
If you choose one career, you would have to give up another. After all, we only have limited time. Evan though we are still students, how to making choice is the one of the most important and most difficult thing for us to learn, because no one knows what people prefer in the future. So, observe! Guess! Decide! And see if the goddess of fortune would give you a big hand!
